Get active

Being active is great for health and fitness. It can also improve your mental wellbeing by raising your self-esteem and producing chemical changes in your brain that can improve your mood. This page has links to activities and sites to help you get started this autumn.

Getting started

The Healthy Lifestyle Services service is a one-stop-shop where you can access a range of online lifestyles services that can keep you healthy from home.

Couch to 5K can get you jogging 5k in 9 weeks.

Find tools and support to help you improve your wellbeing with the Better Health initiative.

Visit the NHS’s Eat Well pages to find out about eating a balanced diet.

Stopping smoking helps you breathe more easily, improves smell and taste, and leads to a longer life. Kick-It is the free stop smoking service for Kingston residents.

Keeping fit indoors

Fitness expert Joe Wicks’ YouTube channel is full of exercise videos for a range of abilities.

Our Parks has a range of online classes to get you moving from Bhangra to Rise and Shine Yoga - there is something for everyone.

Try live exercise classes via Zoom with Hestia’s Good Energy Club.

Brighter Living provides Armchair Yoga and Ki Gong exercise sessions for everyone whether you have limited mobility or you need to step away from your desk.

Ten Today has a set of online exercise classes for older people.

Get outdoors
