Are you looking for support to help you manage your weight? Kingston has a range of free or low cost programmes that can help you. Choose from:
Slimming World (12 weeks free, free membership)
NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (for people at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes)
Get Active (12 weeks, low cost)
To be eligible for the 'by referral' programmes, you must:
Live or work in Kingston and be above 16 years of age
Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) equal or above 28; or
Have a BMI equal or above 25 with a weight related comorbidity; or
Have a BMI equal or above 23 and from a Black African, African-Caribbean, South Asian or Chinese ethnic group
If you need to check your weight and BMI, your nurse, GP or pharmacist will help you, or you can use the NHS BMI healthy weight calculator.

Kingston Hospital has provided a Cancer Counselling Service for patients since 1995 and now with Macmillan Cancer Support is available 5 days a week from Monday to Friday.
