What is this service?
š Our main focus is growing plants for pollinators, creating insect friendly habitats and taking care of our natural wildlife. We follow organic gardening principles and use recycled materials wherever possible.
The garden is wheelchair accessible and adapted tasks allow all to participate.
š± We run weekly propagation sessions (how plants reproduce or grow new ones ā for example, by seeds, cuttings or grafting) planning, vegetable growing and seed saving. A variety of nationalities within our core group of volunteers creates a good dynamic, and any language barrier is overcome through practical activity.
š± We have links with local primary schools and will be running regular sessions for the children next term. Partnerships with a local art school for environmental projects and exhibition space are being developed. We feel the garden has helped bring the community together, with social events very well attended.

What people say
Having suffered a breakdown in 2016, the garden has enabled me to reconnect with nature and people, learning about plants along the way.
