What is this service?

The Association for Post-Natal Illness is a Registered Charity established in 1979 to:

  • Provide support to mothers suffering from post-natal illness;

  • Increase public awareness of the illness;

  • To encourage research into its cause and nature.

The work of the Association is essential as post-natal illness affects between 70,000 and 100,000 women and their families in the UK every year.

The Association offers a helpline, information packs for people and professionals, and a network of volunteers who have themselves recovered from postnatal illness.

Our helpline is free to access, via telephone, email or online chat. The helpline is open Monday-Friday 10am-2pm.

Our staff will do everything that they can to help you and they will be able to offer you information and reassurance.

You can also get in touch using our contact form if you prefer.
