The Reading Retreat is a free and friendly shared reading group. Join us weekly to discuss a piece of writing that is read aloud by the volunteer Reader Leader at the start of the session.

What is this activity?

What we offer:

  • Free, weekly reading groups.

  • There is no reading to do beforehand. You can just arrive at a session and join in the discussion or listen to others discussing.

Our sessions:

  • Kingston Library: Mondays at 11:00-12:00

  • Alfriston Day Centre in Surbiton: Tuesdays at 10:30-11:30

  • The Bradbury Active Age Centre: Wednesdays at 10:30-11:30 (This session is open to all members of The Bradbury. You can get more information by phone: 020 8942 8256)

  • Tolworth Library: Wednesdays at 14:30-15:30

  • Surbiton Library: Thursdays at 10:30-11:30

  • New Malden Library: Thursdays at 11:30-12:30
