Hands reaching up to help

What is this service?

RBKares gets involved with many projects to help those with low income or homeless, refugees, care homes, or others in need.

We run monthly wellbeing days where we collaborate with like-minded local services and charity partners, RBKares facilitates access to services that clients desperately need by providing a one-stop-shop offering services helping with mental, physical, financial and digital health from one of the many services attending eg Kingston Council benefits team, Dentaid Dental Charity bus, NHS SWL Vaccination Team, Samaritans, Mind in Kingston, Kick it, fuel vouchers, footcare, health checks, SIMcards, Dr Bike, Full Cycle Community Bike Project, advice from the Working Well Trust etc. RBKares also gives out free toiletries, underwear, Hey Girls period products, pre loved clothes.

RBKares run weekly sewing workshops with refugees where we bring fabric and sewing machines and overlockers creating a friendly, collaborative group where English is not such a barrier.

RBKares also supports the staff and patients at Kingston and Tolworth Hospitals and the local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) throughout the year by making and filling hundreds of ‘kindness kits‘, supporting various departments, making bespoke scrubs for the chaplaincy and weekly baking to boost staff morale.

RBKares volunteers also use their skills to support many other local charities groups in the borough.
