Mind in Kingston runs a Peer Support Project to support individuals with long-term, enduring mental health issues. Partners will work together to offer group and one-to-one peer support focusing on their aspirations and goals.

The project is supported by peers - volunteers who have their own experiences of mental health issues. Volunteers have been trained in Intentional Peer Support which is a course that focuses on how to support people as equals by using shared experiences, by listening and by moving forwards.
Peers are matched with a service user and work on specific goals to improve their mental wellbeing, improve self-confidence and self-esteem and connect people with others in their local community.
You can self-refer, but we also take referrals from GPs, Care Coordinators or other medical professionals. Service users must be from the borough of Kingston upon Thames.
Self-Referral Forms are available on the website.
