Our services are open to adults, regardless of where they live or work.
We can support you:
With alcohol and drug misuse concerns
Behavioural addictions, e.g. computer gaming, gambling, sex, pornography
In recovery from addiction
With mild mental health issues, e.g. anxiety/depression (that are under the current management of a mental health professional and/or GP)
With everyday difficulties such as stress, bereavement, abuse, isolation, low self-esteem
If you are a carer, family member, friend or anyone affected by the addiction of others
ASCA only accepts self-referrals (please call or email us).
We will discuss your needs and discuss how we can support you. If you fully meet our criteria, we will offer you an initial assessment and, if we feel that we are the right service for you, we will offer up to 6 sessions of counselling, which may possibly be extended.
You must be able to attend regular weekly sessions and be free of any substances on the day of your appointments. We also agree a weekly donation towards our services based on personal circumstances.
Please note that ASCA is a charity and not an emergency service, or part of the NHS, and does not have the resources to offer medical or crisis support.
A strong feeling of belonging and strength amongst people who really understand and care.
