What is this service?

Motivated by love. Informed by research. Delivered without judgement. Accessible to all.

Our urge to isolate ourselves when we are struggling is powerful, but this is the worst thing we can do. Our Hope in Depression course brings people out of isolation and into a safe and confidential community of people who understand and relate to how you are feeling. There is relief and hope in the knowledge that you are not alone.

In our six 2 hour sessions, you will explore the causes and symptoms of depression and anxiety, learn about brain chemistry and medication, hear about different types of counselling and therapy, share experiences and learn about the many things we can do to aid our recovery and continued wellbeing.

The course will give you choice - the choice to practise the techniques which help, the choice to discuss medication as an option and the choice to make proven lifestyle changes.

NEXT COURSE STARTS ON TUESDAY 26 SEPTEMBER 7:30 - 9:30PM AND RUNS WEEKLY UNTIL 7 NOVEMBER 2023 (EXC HALF TERM 24 OCTOBER.
