A support group for mothers who are breastfeeding.
What is this service?
We support families in the boroughs of Richmond upon Thames, Kingston upon Thames and Hounslow with at least one child under the age of five. We offer a range of support options to families including telephone support, 'walk and talk,' home-visiting and family play-and-support groups, both in-person and online.
We are committed to promoting the safety & welfare of children. The special relationship between Home-Start & families means that staff & volunteers may become alert to any concerns about children’s safety & well-being. We have up-to-date policies, a Code of Conduct and clear procedures for safeguarding & promoting the welfare of children. Volunteers, staff & trustees have DBS checks as well as appropriate recruitment checks, induction, training & supervision. Together these help to safeguard the children supported by Home-Start.
Volunteers support local families facing a variety of difficulties, including loneliness and isolation; ill health; post-natal depression; disabilities; bereavement; relationship difficulties; lone-parenting and coping with several pre-school children.
