Surbiton Royal British Legion Youth Marching Band

We are a non-profit voluntary organisation looking for new members in our percussion, brass and woodwind sections.

We accept boys and girls between the ages of 8-25 who are interested in learning how to read and play music, make new friends and most of all have fun!The band is military styled, wearing uniforms similar to H.M Royal Marines and have many engagements throughout the year including local fetes and parades. Some of these include Lord Mayor’s Show in London, Remembrance Day Parade in Surbiton and the band have performed in France, Germany and Italy.

We also have other activities throughout the year that aren’t music related such as camping, bowling, go-karting, swimming and many more. The band supplies all uniforms and instruments on loan and tuition is free for all members. No musical knowledge is required to join as all members are taught by older members and professional instructors.

We practice on a Thursday night at
