Spartan Swimming Club is a club for people with all types of physical disability. The swimming sessions are fun and allow you to enjoy the benefits of swimming for your health.

What is this club?

About our swimming sessions:

  • Build your confidence and improve your technique.

  • Learn to balance and how to recover to a safe breathing position in the water.

  • Move through the water using any technique you like without artificial aids.

  • Swim on your own, in groups or with individual instruction. This will depend on your experience and ability.  

When and where:

  • Malden Centre swimming pool 

  • Thursdays at 18:30-20:00

Membership:

  • Membership is open to people with any type or degree of physical disability. 

  • You will be given a Club Medical Card. This indicates your fitness for water activities which must be signed by your doctor.

Other information:

  • Our sessions are always held under the close supervision of our instructors.

  • Helpers and family members are welcome to stay and watch. They are also welcome to assist in the water. 

  • We do not provide transport or changing room help. 

  • If helpers or family do not stay for the session, they must be easily reachable.
