Sheddington is part of the shed movement that promotes social interaction and wellbeing whilst being engaged in practical activity in a communal workspace.

At its core Sheddington is a very simple idea, "Doing stuff that we like doing … together"
Sheddington is a co-created community, it compliments and signposts, when possible, other services. It's a space where friendships can develop from the joy of sharing interests and learning. Our shed is for everyone and is a place where people can fo as themselves and just be themselves - regardless of age or gender.
What Can We Do?
Potentially a wide range of activities, depending on the time and talents available. Currently we have a workshop on the site of St Mark's Church, Teddington, which is in the process of being kitted out, and access to the church hall on the same site. Some of the activities envisaged include:
DIY: making and mending items
Arts and crafts
Presentations: general interest and educational/informative
Specific activities to promote health and wellbeing such as walks, mindfulness, yoga, tai chi or dance
Time simply for socialising in a friendly and safe space
Or maybe there is something else that you're interested in or feel you could contribute? If you're not yet a member, why not become one? We'd love to hear from you. You can register to join the Sheddington movement here.
