We support families living in Kingston. We tailor our support to specifically cater to parents under stress, or living with mental health conditions, and caters for carers.
What is this service?
We support boys in school years 5-8 (ages 9-12 years), who are struggling with an aspect of life and would benefit from developing a deeper relationship with a significant man from their family (dad, step-dad, uncle grandfather) through free activities such as camps, courses and other connect events.
MAN&BOY currently concentrates on supporting boys aged between 9 and 12 ( school years 5,6,7 & 8 ) as we believe that this transition from junior to secondary school is particularly important in a boy’s life and that a supportive, encouraging male role model can make a huge difference to their self-esteem.
A quote from a Man: We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the winter man & boy camp. It made us realise how life is so busy and that we do not spend enough quality time together enjoying one another’s company as Man&Boy. It has also made us aware we should make more effort at home to take time out to discuss things together. I would strongly recommend the camp to anyone lucky enough to have the opportunity to take part in future man & boy activity weekends away.
