What is this group?

We raise a variety of perennial vegetables and herbs from seed and through propagation. Fruits, berries and nuts are developed on trees and bushes using seedlings, cuttings and grafting. We cultivate edible fungi using spawn and tree root inoculation. We follow the latest research in sustainable food production in all its aspects including the context of a changing climate.

We emphasise the benefits of an innate diet, together with physical exercise in a natural setting, for the overall health and well-being of people who spend much of their time in an urban environment.

It has been said that just 4 minutes of intense digging promotes good health and retains youthfulness!

Over lockdown, volunteer Jeff Lawrence has been on site most days, digging out nettles and brambles to keep the site more accessible. He also hopes to create a wild flower meadow to encourage flying insects, and give the pond a major overhaul.

If you would like to visit the site, or get involved, please call or email Jeff.
