Kingston Cycling Campaign

As the local London Cycling Campaign group, we promote cycling across Kingston. From campaigns to improve cycling infrastructure to our year-round programme of free bike rides for all abilities, our goal is to make our borough a place where anyone who wants to cycle can do so safely and enjoyably.

What is this group?

We are the local Kingston group of the London Cycling Campaign, promoting cycling in the borough and speaking up for everyone on bikes – children as well as adults.

We promote cycling by:

  • Liaising with the Kingston Council and TfL on the provision of local cycling facilities, lanes, paths and routes including the Mini Holland schemes

  • Campaigning to persuade the borough and Transport for London to improve cycling facilities

  • Organising a varied programme of bike rides for all experience levels and ages, from family-friendly routes to more challenging cycling adventures

  • Leading a ride to and from the annual summer RideLondon FreeCycle event in central London as well as the annual Women’s Freedom Ride

  • Supporting London Cycling Campaign’s Cycle Buddies scheme, a free service which connects new and experienced cyclists in the same area to help build confidence and be introduced to new routes

  • Providing local cycling information for members, including ‘Get Cycling’, downloadable maps and directions for traffic-free and quiet rides

  • Providing personal cycle route guides – request yours here

Find out about London Cycling Campaign membership options and, in addition to helping make London safer and more enjoyable for everyone, you’ll receive a host of benefits, from cycling insurance and legal advice to discounts in local shops.
