Bowls is a great leveller – players of all ages, young or old can play against each other on an equal basis. Age, gender and physique have little effect on playing a game of bowls.
Bowls clubs are great places to relax and meet new friends. In the clubhouse at Hook & Southborough we have our own club bar and it’s a good place to socialise and feel a part of the local community.
Bowls is a relatively inexpensive sport to play. You only really need a pair of shoes that have flat soles like trainers. Our club have spare sets of bowls that you can try out.

As well as playing against other club members, the club organise friendly matches against other clubs in Kingston. We play men, ladies and mixed games. We also play in the Kingston & District League, Racal Decca Mixed League, Evening Mixed Triples League and Club Single Day Events.
