What is this service?

The Epilepsy Action Helpline offers confidential and personal advice from our trained advisers for people with epilepsy, their family and friends.

To get in touch with our trained advisers, call 0808 800 5050 - it's free to call from all UK landlines and mobiles. We are open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturday. (International calls are not free.)

You can also email your questions about epilepsy to helpline@epilepsy.org.uk - we aim to reply within 48 hours (on work days).

You can also text message us in the UK: 0747 963 8071 - we aim to reply to your texts within 24 hours (on work days) or tweet @epilepsyadvice with your question and we will tweet back (on work days).

Our helpline is here for anyone with an interest in epilepsy; people with epilepsy, carers, families and friends of people with epilepsy and healthcare and social care professionals. Whatever your connection with epilepsy, we are here to help.
