Functional Skills English and Maths
Functional Skills courses help native and fluent speakers of English to achieve English language and Maths skills for life and work.
Courses start at Entry Level and progress to Level 2.
You will attend one class a week and are expected to attend every session.
All classes are small. You will be supported by a high quality tutor throughout the course and work towards taking exams at the end of the year.
GCSE English and Maths
GCSE courses begin in September, with exams taken the following May/June.
These are intensive courses and you will need to attend every session and be able to do at least 6 hours of independent study each week.
Fees
Courses are free if you are 19 years old or over and have lived in an EU Country continually for the past three years.
Please note that if you hold a GCSE C/4 or above in your chosen subject you will need to pay for the GCSE course.
How to sign up
Complete the course form if you are interested in any of these courses.
All candidates must take an assessment before signing up to determine their level and readiness for the courses.
If your assessment shows that an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) course will be of more benefit you will be referred to an ESOL class.
Additional Learning Support
If you have a learning difficulty or disability we can arrange for you to speak to our Learning Support Manager to help decide the best ways to support you during your course.
We also offer:
