English, Maths & Science Courses
Good English and Maths skills are crucial to success.
We know how important English, Maths and Science are to your future so whether you need to gain those vital GCSEs or just improve basic skills, we will have a course to suit you. If you don’t already have a GCSE grade 4/C or above, then English and Maths courses up to and including L2/GCSE are FREE.
Community Courses
We offer a range of courses with no exams, from short workshops to 12 week courses. You can enrol on these online with no interview or assessment needed.
Qualification Courses
For our qualification courses such as Functional Skills and GCSEs, you will need to book an Information and Advice and Guidance (IAG) appointment.
You will be asked to complete an assessment to help us understand your current level, and then you will be offered an interview to discuss your needs.
To find out more you can visit our English courses website page or our Maths courses website page.
GCSE Qualifications
GCSEs are for learners who have competed Level 2 Functional Skills. You would need to already have the underlying English/Maths skills before embarking on a GCSE course.
GCSEs are the preferred qualifications for progression to Higher Education and for careers in Education and Early Years. GCSE exams are held on set dates in May/June each year. You will need to ensure that you are able to commit to the exam dates before enrolling on a course.
Assessments and Interviews
Our tutors are here to give you the advice and guidance you need through English/Maths assessments and interviews. This is to establish which level is right for you.
