Kingston Adult Education offers a range of Creative Writing courses.

Creative Writing for All

A practical creative writing class for people to find the inspiration and motivation to write, whether for pleasure or for publication. The content will focus on the interests of those attending the class. This tends to cover a range of things including short stories, planning a novel, life writing (biographies and autobiographies), poetry, script writing and travel writing. There will be writing assignments each week and part of the class is spent reading and critiquing each other's writing.

Creative Writing Advanced

A practical creative writing class for people wishing to develop their writing further at a more advance level, whether for pleasure or for publication. The content will , as above, focus on the interests of the class and cover a range of genres and techniques. There will be writing assignments each week and part of the class is spent reading and critiquing each other;s writing. Enrolment is by tutor approval.

Scriptwriting

Learn, explore and develop the basics of writing drama scripts for film, stage, television and radio. There will be interactive lectures, in-class and at-home assignments and writing exercises. peer and tutor feedback and discussion.
