group
GoodGym Kingston is a community of people who get fit by doing good. We run, walk, and cycle to help local community organisations and isolated older people by doing practical tasks.
Community Connectors are trained Social Prescribing Link Workers aligned with local GPs. They work in partnership with Staywell, a local charity. They help people make positive changes in their lives. They do this by linking them to volunteers, activities and community groups who provide support.

Community Connectors are trained Social Prescribing Link workers lined up with local GP practices in Surbiton and Chessington, working with Staywell.
They can help you to make positive changes to your life by connecting you to volunteers, activities and voluntary/community groups, helping you to:
feel more involved in your community
meet new people
make some changes to improve your health and wellbeing
deal with things that can affect your health such as debt, caring responsibilities or loneliness
They encourage you to help yourself. They support and work with you to create and follow a personal action plan. They listen to you and focus on what matters to you. They will also help you to access services and/or resources wherever possible, in order to address any non- medical needs you may have. They are experienced in working with people with Dementia. In order to be introduced to a Community Connector, please use the email address listed or ask at your GP.
You can ask your GP surgery to refer you to the Community Connector attached to your practice.
If you are registered with Canbury, Churchill, Orchard, Berrylands, Holmwood, Roselawn, West Barnes, Groves, Kingston Health Centre, Fairhill or St Albans GP practices you'll need to contact them directly.
Thanks for all you've done. Please let my GP Surgery know how successful all this has been for me, as I think many others would benefit from the same.
