Achieving for Children (AfC) supports children and young people from birth to 25 years old. We work on behalf of Kingston Council.
We exist to improve the quality of life for care-experienced young adults with a connection to the London Borough of Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow. We also host the annual Cocoon Christmas Day.

We provide different kinds of assistance to care- experienced young adults to improve living conditions, support aspirations, reduce feelings of isolation, alleviate hardship and to navigate through everyday stresses and strains.
Our amazing volunteers provide flexible short and long-term practical support. Whether it's help with filling in forms, decorating and DIY, dealing with housing issues or utility companies, accompanying to appointments or helping them to access to other support services - it is always done with kindness and care.
We remove financial barriers to improve current circumstances and increase future opportunities. We don't want anything to stand in the way of their development, ambitions or enjoyment of life.
If you would like to be kept informed about our work, campaigns, and fundraising, please use the form at the bottom of the page linked here: Contact Cocoon, and add "email updates" in the message box.

We provide opportunities for care-experienced young adults to form new connections, friendships and increase their social, community and support network. This includes our annual event on Christmas Day for 50 young people who would otherwise spend the day alone.
Cocoon is non-judgemental. Giving support and opportunities that otherwise young care leavers may not have access to.
