This group is a confidential place for young parents which will focus on your mental well-being, a healthy child-parent bond, increasing confidence & self-esteem, your support network, and having the opportunity to socialise with other young parents.

What is this group?

Together with the Mental Health Foundation, we will be launching the 'Young Parent Connect' Project in Kingston which will look to focus on the mental wellbeing of young parents.  The project will consist of blocks of approximately 12-16 sessions which will be held in-person on the Cambridge Road Estate. A happy and confidential space where we focus on:

  • A healthy child-parent bond

  • Increasing confidence and self-esteem

  • Mental well-being

  • Support networks

  • Socialising with other young parents

Referral Criteria

  • The parent has to be under 25 years of age. Parents that are expecting are also welcome. 

  • Aimed at residents from and around the Cambridge Road Estate / Gardens. We won't exclude residents from other parts of Kingston.

When & Where?

  • The first session is due to start on Tuesday 12th November 2024, from 11am - 1pm. The sessions will be held weekly, during term-time only for 12-16 weeks.

  • These sessions will take place on a weekly basis for 12 - 16 weeks at The Archway, Daffodil Walk, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 3JL. (Formerly, Washington Road).
