Learning Disability Service

Sometimes it is not possible or appropriate for people with a learning disability to use mainstream health services and this is when specialist services, like ours, should be involved.

Moving from children’s to adult services

Our learning disability service is for adults (18 years and over) who have a GP in Kingston or Richmond. We also support teenagers aged 16 years and over to move smoothly from the children’s service to the adult service.

We understand that moving to adult healthcare services can be confusing and stressful when people reach 18. We hope to make this easier.

Take a look at this leaflet for more information on the support that is available: Adult Learning Disability Healthcare Transition
