What is this activity?

Unleash the magic of beats and join our vibrant community of drum enthusiasts!

Join us on our weekly Afro-Brazilian drumming workshop every Wednesdays at the Searchlight Community Centre from 7-9pm to learn how to play a variety of Brazilian and global rhythms in various percussion instruments.

Develop your creativity and become part of a fun, inclusive and diverse community drumming band.

Participants will also have the opportunity to perform and parade at public events such as local community events, street fairs, music venues and festivals, such as Notting Hill Carnival and Kingston Carnival, and participate in collaborative creative projects with fellow musicians and artists from other discipline.

Our group drumming workshops are not just about music, it's about creating connections, improving mental wellbeing, and having a shared experience of joy and accomplishment.

Join a community that drums, dances, and celebrates life in your local community. From beginners to seasoned drummers, everyone's welcome! Embrace a judgment-free space where diversity is our strength.

All are Welcome! No experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm and let the drums do the talking.

Instruments Provided: Don't have a drum? No worries! We've got a drum waiting for every beat enthusiast.
