Teddington Choral Society is a mixed choir composed of over 106 singers and performs three concerts a year. Their repertoire covers Oratorios such as The Creation, Elijah and Handel’s Messiah; plus contemporary work, Chilcott, McDowall and Pärt and lighter musicBernstein, British folk songs and Songs from shows. The choir is under the direction of Julian Collings since the beginning of 2019.

As is tradition now, Teddington Choral Society will be performing a varied and engaging lighter summer concert. This year, the choir will be singing a medley of compositions from the 1950’s. From Ralph Vaughan Williams’s “Five Mystical Songs” to Frank Loesser’s Guys and Dolls, as well as Irving Berlin and Cole Porter medleys, the evening promises to be both an evocative and entertaining one.
Teddington Choral Society will be joined by baritone Dominic Sedgwick and accompanied at the piano by Elspeth Wilkes.
