Organisation

Straight Talking Peer Education

Teenage mothers and young fathers are employed and trained as peer educators to help pupils aged 13-17 years old in schools to recognise the signs of Child Sexual Exploitation and abusive behaviour, understand the issues of sexting and the realities and implications of teenage pregnancy and parenting.

The work aims to offer work experience, transferable skills, a reference and an accreditation so that young parents can re-engage with education or find employment which can bring them financial independence from the State.
