Event description

This session aims to:

•     Increase parents and carers’ understanding of self-harm and suicide, including myth-busting.

•     Provide guidance around the language to use when talking about suicide.

•     Build confidence in recognising when a young person might be struggling, and in starting conversations about self-harm and suicide.

•     Highlight practical resources and sources of support for parents, carers and young people.

•     Provide a safe, non-judgemental space for parents and carers to ask questions and share their thoughts or concerns if they feel comfortable doing so.
