Community Drumming CIC is organising a series of eight drumming workshops to bring the joy and vibrant energy of Afro Brazilian drumming to Kingston Carnival 2025 on Sunday 7 September. These workshops are open to anyone (adults and children) interested in being part of a drumming band during the Kingston Carnival parade. No experience required. Participants will learn how to play a variety of Afro Brazilian rhythms. Registration fee includes eight drumming workshops, two social events, a t-shirt and a costume and participation in Kingston Carnival.
Registration Fee: £60/Adult or £100/Family (including children, parents and/or grandparents)
Registration includes:
– 8 Drumming Workshops on Sundays July 6th, 13th & 20th; August 3rd, 10th, 17th & 31st; and Saturday September 6th (Dress Rehearsal)
– 2 Fun social events to decorate drums and make costumes (time and location TBC)
– T-shirt and costume for Carnival Parade
– Participation in Kingston 2025 River Festival on September 6th (Dress Rehearsal)
– Participation in Kingston 2025 Carnival Parade on September 7th
