Event description

Kingston Carnival will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a spectacular carnival parade and a day filled with colourful performances, delicious food, and the best ingredient of all – great music.

We acknowledge the importance of bringing together many of our communities in the spirit of tolerance, friendship, and togetherness. The carnival parade starts at 12 p.m. at the Guildhall, with music stages in the Ancient Market Place and High Street.

We will be showcasing music from across the world – reggae, soca, bhangra, jazz, funk, and more. The Market Place Stage is supported by KREC and Banquet Records and will present a variety of bands and supporting acts to get you in the mood.

The Community Stage has music and dance from local diverse communities, including the Chinese Association, Milaap, Global Arts Kingston, the Institute of Tamil Culture, Bhangra Beats, and more.

The Children's Area has lots of games and activities for the little ones in Memorial Square and Gardens – enjoy the rides, face painting, and inflatables.

This year, we are going green in our efforts to be more sustainable, so visit the Green Zone in the grass area of All Saints' Church. It showcases sustainability, recycling, promotes cycling, sustainable transport, and the environment. Learn how plastic waste is collected and transformed into furniture by partnering with repurposing companies. Take part in interactive workshops on effective recycling techniques and learn how to upcycle old clothes and materials into new garments.
