If you just want to learn to fix, or maybe even volunteer to help fix items at Save the World Club, these courses are designed for beginners, but by the end should give you the skills to progress quickly to take on more complex repairs.
This first part teaches you how to wire a plug safely, and checking this is always the first step to repairing household electricals. In fact if you can do this you are about 75% of the way in being able to PAT test electricals!
Later courses will cover repair of lamps and toasters, dates for your diary are:
28th March Lamp Lab
23rd May Toaster Teardown
Thanks to Royal Borough of Kingston the courses are free.
Join us this March for #RepairWeek2026 to skill up and learn more about electricals.
Please note you must be 18 or over to attend.
