Join us for a weekend full of the sights, sounds and smells of early mediaeval life - a truly immersive and action packed weekend! Don’t miss the Saxon warrior parade over Kingston Bridge at 12 noon on Saturday 26 July as they beat their passage with shields and chants to Canbury Gardens and Athel’s Town: Saxon Encampment and Reenactment .
Explore the tenth century with Regia Anglorum’s living history encampment as they celebrate the very best of life a thousand years ago! Enjoy Saxon battle demonstrations, storytelling, games and crafts throughout the weekend.
Find out about age-old crafts, skills and trades at Kingston Museum’s Saxon Fayre, back by popular demand at Canbury Gardens with lots of free family fun. With over 35 community stalls, farm animals, falconry displays, music, beekeeping, flax growing, tapestry-making and - a working Saxon Forge - there’s plenty to keep everyone of all ages entertained!
